Is Chris Powell too old at 37

to do us a job at LEFT back for a season ??

 

id say yes, the game is more about speed now then skill particuly at left back, did heckingbottom ever have a match where he was quicker then the right winger for the other team?

 

True but Hecky is not in the same class as Powell , one of the best defensive readers of the game in his time, just thought he could be a one season asset for us

Back as a kid I use to enjoy watching her beside Nicky Campbell on Wheel Of Fortune. But now she's losing her looks and he's some annoying guy on both radio and television

 

On a similar theme

I noticed that Andy Johnson has not had his contract renewed at Leicester City . An experienced midfield player who has played the majority of his career , if not all of it , in the top two divisions . At the risk of being pillaried on here ("he's too old" , "if he's not good enough for Leicester , he's not good enough for us",etc.),I think he'd be a useful addition to our squad . We'd then have four central midfield players contesting two places in the first team . For me , that should be our aim throughout the first team squad , two players challenging for every position in the starting line up . The higher the quality of the squad ( as well as stronger numerically ) , the better the chance of us not being embroiled in another relegation battle .

we have 3 already, quantity matters as much as quality with us
