We need a win but league form is the priority.

Is a cup run a help or a hindrance?

It's a break from getting beaten week after week in the league I suppose, a **** or bust game that could generate some extra cash to prop up Barnsley's supposed empty transfer pot that everyone is so sure of on here.

It's a qualified "yes" for me as Coventry will be thinking we're ripe for the picking. Not really a "Giant Killing" but a decidedly winnable game for them! We are under pressure imho!

No. Struggling to convince myself to go.
I think there's a real chance they will have more fans than us. If they take the lead, we're out.
That said, a victory last season was the spring board for our recovery, so I hope we progress.

Just had a similar conversation with the boss (a Deedar - they've got a very dodgy game at Macclesfield), but we couldn't decide if its better to bow out early with the embaressment of losing to lower-league opposition to concentrate on the league or take the confidence boost of a win of any kind...

Did our cup run last year help us in the league? I think it did. The confidence gained from winning in the cup must have affected our league games in a positive way. Although the games leading up to the Man City game were disappointing.

And yes, I still get excited!

    Barnsley 5/4
    draw 12/5
    Coventry 21/10
Think Coventry are good value at that, score goals, big following, if they score first it's over.

It was a massive help to us last season. The late Danny Rose winner against Burnley helped change our season in my opinion. I hope we have another decent run in it, it's not like we've got a small squad that will struggle to handle the extra games

Will probably go if the weather is OK, be nice to beat them and get someone like Arsenal away in the next round - would love to go to the Emirates and would be a nice cash boost for us.

Coventry will fancy themselves to beat us though.

I'd definitely take a few flukes like the goal against burnley in the cup now,we certainly need them, cup or league,i'm not bothered, lets just have some goals.

I'm excited by the FA Cup, but massively disappointed in the way BFC are performing at the minute.

No not really. Our players are doing everything possible to kill every ounce of enthusiasm I have this season.

It's an opportunity to play some of the fringe players, the likes of Kennedy, Wiseman, Dawson, Etuhu.... oh, hang on.

Not really but the prize money will come in very handy. We could do with a run like last season. I'm going to the game though, decided I will go to any home cup games but not away. Not sure I would go even if we got city again.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Completely devalued. When it was the last game of the season, when it got teams into the second most important European competition, when the teams in the top leagues played teams trying to win it, that's when it mattered.

Now it's something to go for if there's f**k all else on. It's the Channel 5 of football.
