The worst referee to ever officiate at Oakwell and he's had some stiff competition down the years.

it did show 3 reds in 4 mins though, not the 1st time they've cocked up the updates, 1 celebrated a 90th min winner for them to put it back to a draw!

In a league of his own. Never seen anything like it anywhere before or since. Absolutely the most surreal match ever.

I still believe that was the game that relegated us, not mathematically but psychologically. We'd overcome so much up to that game then he came along and gave us the biggest kick in the knackers possible.

Definitely. We'd gone unbeaten at home for a long time before that and the place was buzzing. Had we even held on for a point it would have been a phenomenal moral victory. But the double whammy of the undeserved defeat coupled with the suspensions was very hard to come back from.

Apparently so. Probably ably assisted by Trevor Kettle, Kelvin Morton and George Cain.
