Sounds good value then for the return fare - and most people who travel by train tend to want to return back to where they started.

Normally costs me £6+ return for a 20minute train journey into Glasgow, the prices are a proper rip off.

You ought to live down here

There is 1 bus an hour past the end of my road towards Farnham (and 1 per hour back) - the last one back leaves the station at 5pm there is no evening service

The once I tried the bus to the station - its just over a mile (25min walk) and it cost £1.80

A single train fare to London is 11.50 return if you want to go out in the morning and come back in the afternoon say to go to work is £22 - but of course the last bus has gone - hence my wife drives to the station and back every day

Where I work - to which I drive the car parking is restricted by the local council planning rules to "encourage" use of public transport there is 1 bus a day - so if I wanted to use public transport I would need to do the following

Ideally get bus to farnham station - but doesnt connect with trains and I cant get it back so I'd have to walk
    25 mins

Train to Basingstoke - 1 hour (£8.90 return)

Walk 4 miles (1 hour 15 mins) (I can prob get a bus half way but not investigated)

so realistically a 3 hour journey with 5.5 miles of walking

or I can drive in 25 mins - fortunately I can park but if we hire more staff we have a problem
