or is that Adele robbing a living? not saying she can't sing but my missus likes her and when she puts the cd's on it all seems like a different version of the same bloody song / tune to me
Brilliant singer. And the top of my..... l'd do her but not tell anyone list, just above Liz MacDonald.
Only have to cope with 'listening' to her when she's on three or four times a day at work on the wireless. I find her torturous to listen to, really depressing but I appreciate she can sing. It's just not my cup of tea. It's not the depressing or bleak nature of her lyrics, because I love Nirvana amongst others and Cobain sang about some pretty dark ****, but it's the tunes and how she sings em. Nirvana did depressing/suicidal/angry lyrics but the tunes were at odds with that. Adele's just bleak full stop. So ******* miserable. But again, she's got a cracking voice if that's your kind of music I suppose. And she's less tubby these days and so I'd probably have a go on her.
I love an older woman, literally, but I'd draw the line well before Liz McDonald. I couldn't even cope with her talking to me, nemind owt else. Gob like a foghorn. Is that Carla bird still on Corrie? She's more my taste. Older, but classy.
Emperors new clothes. The glitterati say she's good so she must be. I think she sings dull miserable dirges, sometimes out of tune. The worst for me was 'Skyfall' Still what do I know, my favorite female singer from my youth was Kate Bush. Her voice wasn't exactly orthodox but I thought she was great. Nothing to do with the fact I would have liked to (censored, censored, censored ) and twice on a Sunday... ahem
