Would it be worth a club like us inviting him down to train, get fit and see how it goes? A lot of players such as Joey Barton & Didi Harmann are telling him not to give up. http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/video-michael-johnsons-best-goals-for-manchester-city/
From the little reading that i've done, and some user comments, it just seems that he's lost all interest in football and is more bothered about going out on the razz..
You maybe right there, but Man City is a very easy place for a player to get lost if it's all gone wrong. You can't see Mancini going out of his way to help him and the playing squad has changed beyond recognition. The owners had probably never heard of him. until some pen-pusher flagged up a mystery 25k salary they can't account for. Leicester would appear to have been a bad idea as well for all parties and now Johnson is speaking about mental health issues. I bet he gets one or two phone calls.
He would have to earn a contract. I'd like to see a decent club (such as ourselves, Flicker) give him six months to prove he can still do it and warrant a contract for next season. Yes, he has some serious abdominal injuries but he can not have completely lost it. This is a lad who was compared to Colin Bell, tipped as the new Stephen Gerrard and an England certainty. There are mental health issues to overcome, but nothing like the ones he's going to have in ten years time when his money's gone and no-one wants to know him. He should give it another go at the right club (that's us by the way, Flicker) before it's too late.
Nothing Like. Mido knows exactly what he's doing. This is a kid who has lost his way in the modern game.
Fatter than Mido and mental with it. If that's what we are looking at, I'll pop down to Oakwell for a trial myself. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...dmits-defeat-gambling-alcohol-addictions.html
michael johnson is everything that is wrong with football. instead of giving players all that money at a very young age,the fa,premier league should have trust funds set up the money goes in there, they can only draw a certain amount out in a year,or transfer if they want to buy a house, apartment,or a car. probably hard to implement but when its ruining lifes and careers than action needs to be taken. maybe the likes of chopra wouldnt then get in the situations there in now.
but hes got these issues through the game ,the fame ,the money, and maybe hes been taking narcotics.we just dont know. but if there were help available for these guys at a young age then maybe just maybe this kind of thing wouldnt happen
I don't think money gives you mental illness mate. He's a poorly lad who seems to be taking stick because he's a footballer.
but maybe the drinking in excess can through having the money. i know hes a poorly lad maybe city could have done more to help him too.
how old was he when he got his 40,000 a year mario 18-20 it affects people in different ways. all his injurys he got depressed and turned to drink he needs help but first he needs to become dry
Doubt he would go training anywhere to try and earn a contract. He will be after a contract from the start. From someone who earned 6.5 million at Man City he's not hard up enough to find the motivation to prove himself for nothing in return.
