Yep according to a caller on radio Sheff tonight it's still £30. I reckon it could be close to being the lowest crowd since we came back up if we insist on charging £30 for a nothing game. Crazy.
Cheers lads, l'll buy the chron on Friday for the coupon and get down to Oakwell on Saturday. I'm only really going to get the FA Cup programme, l could actually just buy it on Grove Street or online but the young un fancies going to the match. May as well put her off for next season.
Could it be that it's because they've already sold so many hundreds/thousands to Brighton and want to save face by not altering the ticket prices? For such a meaningless fixture, the prices are just ridiculous. Even if they didn't just flat out reduce the ticket prices. Why not offer some sort of deal? 1. Season ticket holders bring your friend for a fiver. 2. Season ticket holders bring your kid for a quid. 3. Families - buy one adult ticket, get a child ticket free. 4. Families - buy one adult ticket, get another half price. I could go on. It's not rocket science. I can see us having less than 8,000 home supporters there on Saturday.
The manager has already said he's not bothered so why should anyone else be? I'll be training for next season and sitting on my hands and sitting in silence.
I can't believe Hill actually came out and said that, what an unprofessional, uncaring attitude. Unbelievable.
30 quid for a dead rubber match our own manager doesn't even care about. Heck he didn't even care about the Bristol City match before we had even played it, which was a kick in the teeth to those who travelled there.
I've got a season ticket, walk to Oakwell, don't buy owt in the ground, and I'm considering not bothering going on Saturday - so god knows why anyone would be prepared to shell out £30 for it!
Had it confirmed last night an offer is in the chron on Saturday! I think we should have hit the papers all week offering tickets for £5 etc - get people in for the last game and get season ticket flyers all over the ground and at the gates when you come in!! Sell stuff in the shop for summer and so on! I agree with the club that you can't always sell things cheap...but this game like tv games we have had, no bugger is going to come anyway so why don't we fill up the ground with really cheap tickets!! People will only come for £5 as well - not £5 off, might as well not bother doing £5 off and really go for it!!
Correct - If the offer was buy the chron and get in for a fiver - Fair Enough!! But not a fiver off. Ludicrous!
