That the players train from 11:00 - 13:00 only through the weekdays unless there is a midweek game?

    Better Not Be......

as i would have them in 2moro for that performance today. They should work a normal 9-5 on the training ground. If they only work 10 hours a week on the training ground, then that's pathetic. Should be training more then ever at the moment.

In the programme today Ritche and Reid speak of hard work in trainig?!?

I hope this is not true. We are a championship club now and the players need to show the hard work and commitment that comes with that status if they hope to retain it.

    RE: Better Not Be......

If they trained 9 to 5 they would be:

    A) Too Knackered to play a competative game.
    B) Injured.
    c) Dead.

On my 1st coaching course in 1995 we played 9-5 Saturdays and Sundays for a couple of weeks.

By the end of of the course 80% of us were injured and most of the guys on the couse were very fit 18-19 year old BTEC Sport Studies Students who needed a coaching badge to coach on Summer Camp in the USA.

It's not the time spent training which matters its what use you make of the time. An hour a day can be enough if the intensity is high.

9-5 doesn't mean train, train, train. You can have ice baths, breakfast and dinner at the club so you know they are eating right, physio treament etc. It doesn't have to mean all knackering stuff.

    RE: Better Not Be......

I listened to a an interview with a Spurs player last week on talk Sport.
He said its more like a 9-5 job now. A lot of time is spent on Tactical work and watching video of opponents.

Does anyone know when the our players are leaving the ground after training?

PS I'm of the Skeggy now so I wont be posting until later.
