Said Sheff Utd are interested in signing him.

Would he be a decent signing for us? I know he was at Sheff Utd previously but may prefer not to drop down to league one.. Worth a punt? Zero transfer fee would mean we could pay a bit more for wages.

Also heard they'd offered him £6.5k per week.

Danny Wilson said they'd approached him and Beattie had said he was nowhere near the level of fitness needed so seems unlikely they will be doing a deal in the short-term.

Keith Hill would probably sign him, tell the fans that he is fully fit and raring to go and then play him revealing the fact that he is 25 stone with a broken leg. He'd then go on the radio and criticise the fans saying that they weren't listening when he told us all that Beattie is fat and that we are stupid for thinking he was fit and he has no idea where we got that from. He'd then randomly mention 1997 and then have a go at fans for mentioning it even though he was the only person doing so.

But if he played with honesty, it does not matter how crap he played!

He was on 45k a week last time he was at the Blunts

Just say he's willing to take a 75% paycut from that (doubtful) that still means he'd be willing to take 11.25k (still well out of our reach).

United won't take him back, it all came about when they signed 2 Rangers players, and expected him to follow.

he earns more than what im earning right now. **** it. am finishing this brew and im going home. then ill try getting a deal at the Blunts. i mean, if theyre willing to pay 1 useless bstard over 10 grand a week, then why not another?
im not as fat either, so maybe id get a bit extra...
