If so how come we have struggled to create as many chances this season, as we did last season?
Devaney was one of the highest rated players in this league, but we replaced him with JCR and we have struggled to create goalscoring chances this season. I admit JCR seems an exciting player but he has very little end product, whereas Devaney and McIndoe last year both scored goals themselves and created chances for others(altho` these were not always converted).
I cant understand it, Campbell Ryce looks a good player but the stats dont back it up.

Prefer Devaney myself. JCR reminds me too much of Martin Bullock in that he checks back too much when he gets to edge of area rather than pushing on into the box and forcing the defender to commit to a challenge. He frustrates me because he has the skill to do it.

    I like them both

So I'd play one of them with the other coming on as sub to run the poor left-back ragged.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

JCR is the equal opportunities Chris Shuker. Looks like he's running really fast, but rarely beats players, can't cross, scores the occassional goal.

They are both very good players and i'm just glad they are both playing for BarnsleyFC. I have always liked Devaney, he is a top class player in this division,as is JCR. It must be one of the most difficult positions to sustain your form, playing on the wing. But when they are buzzing they are the best wingers in the championship. :)

Is JCR better than Devaney on the LEFT?

Whenever both are included in the team, JCR always seems to get the nod for that spot on the right.

JCR scored a nice goal against Southend the other week when cutting in from the left hand side. Why never Disco on the right & JCR on the left?

    Typical Winger maybe?

People seemed to like Teixeira (WBA) last week, but what did he do in the game apart from "look dangerous"? Add to that £3m worth of Chris Brunt on the other wing & and I find it hard to be over critical of JCR....
