Or have they signed him. We could just do with him in midfield. He was impressive at Wigan in the friendlies.
RE: Just on loan Too true he had freedom of the borough in first half. A player I would have liked to seen in a reds shirt.
Ran the show? There wasn't a single player who ran the show yesterday. He was just as guilty of hoofing the ball as anyone else. Thought, considering the freedom we gave him, he was average at best. We had a non-existant central midfield and he still didn't do anything of note apart from a couple of decent first half set pieces.
Sorry but from where I sit 'He ran the show' He was everywhere in attack in defense taking corners, free kicks, and telling the Weds players what to do next. Get him signed (Y) (Y) (Y)
How do you figure anyone ran that game? Neither goalkeeper's made a diving save at any stage in the match. If he ran it, he didn't run it very well.
He put in some good balls but Like our Strikers they failed to convert. We need a delivery man now de Silva is out.
You just clearly have a different definition of "running the game" to me. To me, running the game means taking the game by the scruff of the neck and winning it for your side. He didn't do that, nothing close.
As i said in one of my previous posts Kavanagh was the only player on the pitch who attempted to put his foot on the ball and pass, rather than lump the ball. he played the fowls into attacking positions several times in the game. I wouldnt say he ran the show but his experience and ability could easily be noticed (as could Foster n Nyatanga's)in otherwise two headless chicken teams yesterday.
And as I respond, the only player who tried to get the ball down yesterday on either side was Nyatanga. Kavanagh was as guilty as anyone else for hoofball.
RE: Just on loan Certainly put some good corners in. Shame we just decided to gift them corners when not under pressure though!
