Real Madrid bench would still be a better prospect. Can't help but think that Liverpool will sign him just before the end of the transfer window, similar to the way Man U weren't going to sign Rooney and he was suppose to be signing for the Geordies last season.
Not if he can help it He wants to go back to Liverpool (and they could certainly do with him) but there is a bit of brinkmanship going on. I think if its Newcastle it will be on loan rather than a permanent transfer
RE: Not if he can help it A loan seems to be the suggested option. Unbelievable that no-one was snapping up Owen. The guy's only 25 and still class.
