Its not really that kind of place

And a pint of lager costs nearly 9 quid a pint.

Stay away from the duomo and it gets slightly less expensive

I work there a couple of days a week. Avoid the area around the Duomo its priced for tourists. I normally stay around the Lotto or Wagner areas of town and there are plently of good bars etc and if you are heading to San Siro these areas are close by. Avoid taxi's in Milan as they are a rip off use the tube its €1 a journey in the central zone. Any other questions please ask!

    Here

We're a bunch of 44-50 year olds (8 blokes) going for our annual european pissup. Differant interests really. Any bars with live music, blues, jazz and the likes? How safe is the place for really pissed up people?

I think that Milan is safer than London!! Although you have to watch your self late at night but no more so than any other city. I do not see Milan as the type of place to Pub Crawl. Most Italians sit in one bar / Cafe and just eat and drink the night away in one place. THe happy hour theory is great because you can have a meal and a drink for 7-10 euro in many bars normally its a buffet of cold dishes with a hot pasta. This is served 5-8 I think. I have been to this place
http://www.rollingstone.it/main.htm which has live bands a couple of nights a week but the crowd can vary depending on the night. Hope that helps.

    Hehe

it's my mate i'm worried about. Last year in Amsterdam, he thought he'd pulled this lass (good looker). They were all firendly for 15 minutes then a big bruiser came up and whacked mi mate. Thing was, the bitch had nicked all his credit cards and cash while he had his toungue down her neck.

PMSL, he was in total panic! :)

It'd be ace to see him pull a girlyboy! when he gets pissed he goes blind! :)
