Could that not mean another cheap internal promotion? I'm really hoping it's just a stop gap and the backroom will leave when the new boss brings his team in, but i've got to think the compo deal on a 'mutual consent' will be enough - so paying off the rest wont appeal to PC. My god we could end up with Branson, Kidd or O'Hanlon in charge. (doh) Somebody please reassure me that the controllers of the club aren't that stupid (clown)
If Kidd ends up in charge of this club then it's time to switch off the lights ! A bit of patience is called for now, we have a 2 week break !
yes, and whilst its a good time to bring someone in it needn't be rushed, three or four games under a caretaker wouldn't be the end of the world, it would still give the appointment more than 35 games to turn things around - and with a loan signings opportunity, even before January. Calm down, stay cool, assess the market. Who wants the job, who's best for it. And not, 'Joe Bloggs has got his knot tying badge in scouts, and loads of other badges, he'll be good'. ('And cheap' whispered)
Not yet In fact it would have been surprising if others had gone 1 hour after the game Doesnt mean anything at this stage - lets see what happens over the coming days before starting to worry
RE: Not yet Ah, a calming, less suspicious voice. Most welcome. Thanks for that, i'll buy into your optimism. Its taken this long to see Davey off, surely PC will take his time and seek the right advice to get the new appointment right. (Y)
I agree If come monday or even tuesday evening they are still at the club then i'll be very disappointed and concerned but immediately after the match I think they were only bothered about placating the fans by sacking davey straight away.
Don't think so, but then again PC said last time he wanted an experienced manager then appointed an inexperienced guy who had been youth team coach for just a few months.
Depends who applies I think and whether anyone else goes will depend on the new manager and who he wants to work with.
Then againhis back room staff could go with SD if he quickly gets a job elsewhere! Not too likely a scenario I think.

Depends how deep PC's pockets are... ... and whether he just says '**** this for a game of soldiers'
We're all masters of spending someone else's money.

Coppell was asked if he wanted to get back into the game..... he said "My hunger's back, but thats not my decision, it needs someone to say they want me" We shouldn't be wainting for people to apply, we should be going out and getting the best. I think the man just said come and get me.
Steve Coppell would be my number one choice. However I'm not the one who will have to empty my piggy bank to pay for him.
