Letting bygones be bygones for the good of the team? Personally if I was Simon and I'd fallen out with someone like Kozluk, I'd call him in for a meeting, clear the air and move on, rather than weaken the team. Same with Christensen. Okay if someone does nothing but undermine you after that then fair enough.
My personal opinion is... That if I was a manager, at that level particularly, I would welcome ideas and feedback from my players on tactics and such like. If it becomes moaning and unconstructive criticism, or it's murmuring behind your back then I wouldn't be too happy, but sometimes when you do criticised you have to look at yourself, I certainly do in all walks of life.
the art of managing conflicts well is to come out with a win win solution for both parties seems to me that davey is coming up with win lose solutions, ie he wins the argument the team loses the game
coaching badges are all well and good, but I not sure how well they prepare you for man managing footballers

RE: yes he has. Tried telling him that he was wrong about tactics And you're sure about that? Or are you just guessing about what may have happened?
You are assuming that there has been a fallout with those two players.
Or do you know something the rest of us don't?
Davey is on record as saying that it's the work players put in to their training that influences him when picking the team.
Perhaps it's a Prema Donna attitude some of the players have in thinking they should be an automatic choice for the team which is the problem and not SD.
Fergie leaves a player out and it's good management, showing the players who's the boss. Davey leaves a player out and he gets slated for being a crap manager. No matter what he does he get slagged off.

Did I say he's a crap manager? I'm merely debating a point. Yes some professional footballers are too big for their boots and need to be knocked down a peg or two, but there's nothing wrong with a little bit of arrogance and confidence sometimes. If these players are so rubbish in training - Kim, Kozzy et al, then why did he sign them? I cannot believe that Christensen would do any worse than any of our other strikers, in fact I'd put money on it.
RE: yes he has. Tried telling him that he was wrong about tactics trust me. its true. Davey has had approaches from a few players about his Tactics and always dismissed them.
RE: Did I say he's a crap manager? Admittedly I have only seen Christensen playing in the reserves 3 or 4 times.
But from what I have seen he hasn't made a case for a starting a Championship match and reports I have been getting from other games suggest the same.

I'm sure I've read reports where he's scored a few goals In the reserves... no? Did he not get a hat-trick in one game, left foot, right foot and a header? Maybe I dreamt it!
Wouldn't it be bad management if Davey let the players have it all their own way? As I said earlier, choose what Davey does he gets slagged off. Usually by folk who have no idea what goes on in a Club.
Yes but how far do you take it? One word against him and that's it, no further chance? Like I said in the initial post, surely a time comes when you call it quits and give them another chance?
RE: Yes but how far do you take it? Well I don't know but may be you do.
I'm all for having a good bust up to clear the air but after that the slate should be wiped clean and we get on with the job.

Davey continues to develop his managerial skills but I do wish he would(an assumption) take on board that he does not know it all.
As Brian Clough used to say.... When he had a problem with a player, he would call him in, talk about it and then do it his way.
One thing you all need to know about Football Managers They have different brains and thought processing systems to the rest of us normal mortals
