you get what you pay for it,s free so it aint that good,best anti virus on the market is nod 32 absolutely superb catches everything but it aint free.
RE: great minds and all that I can honestly say that while using AVG I have never had any probs. I use Superantispyware as well , also free gets everything during a scan, a lot better than Spybot etc.
AVG isn't "Free" as such Don't be deceived into thinking it is not very good because it is "free". It is only available free for home use. The AVG business network license costs money - but essentially is it exactly the same virus detection engine as the home version. It is just a pity that more companies don't follow Grisoft's example and make their products available cheaply / free for home use. HTH, Stephen
But even the business version isnt exactly expensive works out about £10 per year - less if you put several PC's on We decided there was no point even thinking about not buying it and trying to sneak along on the free edition
It's cracking value really Of course, the additional beauty of the network version is that you can control the settings on all the workstations centrally - it makes the network admin a doddle.
