Was that France or Paris? Out in the sticks doesn't begin to cover it. We'd need an airport, a motorway and a shopping centre just to upgrade us to "the middle of nowhere".

France is very committed to rolling out broadband as you know and although we've only got 1Mb now we really are in the middle of nowhere - we're 8.5km from the exchange and there's only 500 subscribers on the exchange anyway so it's a miracle we've got it at all. It's certainly not making France Telecom any money. And they're talking about upping the speeds considerably next year. I heard that 20Mb+ is becoming quite widespread - 24Mb was common when I was in Sweden and I wouldn't mind a bit of that!
