    whats wrong with that ...

I honestly do think that an international game SHOULD be able to be viewed by all of the countries concerned...and before you start YES i do have sky...but still think its an absolute travesty that not all can see the game. many OAP's and underpayed households are still very much English and would like to see their team...but no the FA sellout to the greedy buggers at SKY totally disgraceful

    No it's not

Footy may be a national game but it isn't nationalised.

By the way - Sky is not a monopoly. Also, what the FA do about the rights isn't determined by the government. That's why your original post was a bit mad.

    RE: No it's not

still going to stick with marylin on this one.... the national team should be there for everyone in the nation to view... wether they chooose to or not is upto them.. it is the biggest sport in the country... ALSO THE GOVERNMENT SAY THEY ARE CUTTING DOWN ON BINDGE DRINKING... FOR THOSE HOUSEHOLDS WITHOUT SKY IT SEEMS LIKE A DECENT ALTERNATIVE... GO DOWN THE PUB.. WATCH THE MATCH N AV A PINT

No Problem With It Being On Sky

    * The FA make much more money from Sky because of it, which goes back into our national game.

    * You want to watch something as big as this on free television? You should be so lucky.

    * If you don't have Sky get it for the match or go to a local pub showing it on the cheap.

    The Point Being.............

you think people should get to watch something as big as this match for free?

YES I do they had the Estonia game

this is a national side , many many MANY do not have the luxury of Sky Sports (I do) I feel that the national team be it football rugby or whatever should be allowed to be seen by the NATION. Many old folk and underpaid households simply do not have sky, and do not say go down the pub.. a 12 year old cannot and an old timer on a zimmer or chairbound cannot. Sorry DB I certainly do feel this is wrong, and as I say I have SKY , but on these occasions it should be available to all.

I Have Sky Sports As Well And.........

your arguement is like me who doesn't have Sky Movies saying "there's a premiere on this saturday that should be on free tv". The reason we pay extra money for Sky Sports, is so we see things that aren't available to others.

    Plenty have broadband though...

...and it was free to view on the YES channel, broadcast on sopcast. A very good picture and stream too. Probably one of the best I've seen.

    If nobody subscribed to Sky...

...they wouldn't be able to buy up the rights and it would be on freeview telly. I don't know why people feed the hand that bites them.

You'll nivver find me subscribing to Sky.

    Sky have live coverage

because before they came along nobody was interested in live coverage....and you can hardly call Sky "robbing" when they've offered the most for the rights
