Is the takeover closer to being completed than we think....

In summer we got money for Butterfield and money from the Vaz Te sale in January. But this money seemed to disappear in the transfer window, we bid £400,000 for Norwood which got knocked back and never saw the cash again.

So all of a sudden Keith is looking to bring in a striker: Reports today of Cameron Jerome, Luke Moore and Alex Nimley (Loan with view to permanent). I wouldn't of thought we could even afford these wages. Not only that but we were looking at Tudgay and McGoldrick in January to sign as far as i'm aware. I'd of thought Forest would want around £500k for either of these.

So has Keith been told there is some money coming in...... Lets hope so!!!!

I think you have answered your own question. Butters money was used to offset operating losses as far as I'm aware, the rest may still be in the kitty. Don has always said there is SOME money available for strengthening. Of course, the alternative take on that is that a deal has already been agreed for Davies....

 

I hope a deal has been agreed for Davo heard talks had stalled. Would take any of the above strikers alongside him

 

I actually meant that maybe a deal has been done to sell him! Which would IMHO be a disaster.

 

I think the Butterfield money was used to offset this season's reduction in TV revenue to allow the same wage budget as last season
