Or didn't we turn it on for long enough?

Either way, what a complete bag of *****.

Never really got annoyed at a postponement before, but today was a nice sunny day and it didn't feel that cold.

    ******* useless.

If it was broken down as an earlier correspondence said, the club should have informed all parties (particularly Birmingham FC) that there was a problem. Surprisingly nothing on local radio until the last minute.

    We're a joke

The only ground with undersoil heating to have its fixture cancelled and they trot out a feeble excuse that it was really cold last night. Isn't that the idea of undersoil heating - so you can play when it gets really cold? I'm sure it was no colder in Manchester, Leeds or Sheffield last night but all games in the surrounding area are still on. There's more to this than meets the eye, if they've forgot to turn it on, not got it turned up high enough or turned it on too late in the day then they should apologise to the fans and admit it instead of trotting out some feeble excuse that it was really cold last night.

I was in Oakwell sandwiches when the news broke, the ladies in there were not happy and when they explained their predicament I had a lot of sympathy for them.

I guess they order in a lot of extra snap and put more people on when we have a match.

Probably wiped out the profits for the week.

I dont believe that we turned it on.

Ps 100 yards from oakwell now stood on nice soft grass. Oh and theres no undersoil heating here either yet its thawed naturally. Do you honestly believe thay 100 yards away it wouldnt thaw even WITH an expensive heating system that is normally able to shift snow? Cuz i dont.

Also disgraceful that there was nobody at the gate to the carpark stopping supporters from parkuling up. Police around the ground as usual, burger vans operating as usual, carpark open as usual, parking restrictions around oakwell as usual and yet the gam3 had been called off an hour earlier. Communication? What communication?

Took the dog for a walk at 1 oclock around pond at Hoyle Mill half a mile away from ground and it was over the boot tops in soft mud.

My garden is frozen, garden the other side of the road (25 yards max) is not. My garden is in shade, theirs isn't. I'm not defending BFC, if there was a possibility of it being called off then they should have alerted the supporters yesterday, but to give examples of soft ground in the general area of Oakwell as a reason the match should have gone ahead is just plain daft.

don't think we fancied facing a Birmingham team in such great form today. all around the surrounding area had defrosted naturally, including shaded area's so how Oakwell managed to get it to frost???
