Not really ...but you are limited to 5 in the matchday squad - although Norwich appear to have had 6 against us last week (a loophole with one of them being Australian apparently (dunno) ) Remember Stoke over the last couple of years - not sure if they had any contracted players tbh (wicked) Anyway, a basic guide to loans - shamelessly copied & pasted btw: There are two categories of loan: Standard and Emergency. A maximum of five loan signings - either Standard or Emergency - may be named in the match-day sixteen. No more than four loan players may join any one club from another. Standard loans Standard loans are only permitted to be made during the transfer windows, ie: July 1st to August 31st and January 1st to January 31st. Such loans can be for half a season or a full season. A club may have up to eight players on standard loans at any one time during a season, four of which must be under 23 years of age, and four of which must be over 23 years of age (the deadline for determining a player's age in this respect shall be June 30th prior to the Season in which the standard loan is intended to take place). Emergency loans During the 2008/09 season, Football League clubs may sign players on emergency loans between September 7th and November 27th, and between February 7th and 26th March. There is no limit to the number of emergency loan players a club can have in any one season. Emergency loans are for a minimum of 28 days and a maximum of 93 days.
