Hmm. Thought not ! Just looked at Eticketing and guess what... no reduction from £20. Another opportunity missed by our caring fuhrers. £18 might tempt more to book in advance. One of those psychological things, will pay 18 but not 20. As I'm going to the Bradford game I will not be there next Wednesday. Nice glass of wine etc and tv/computer here we come !
Exactly. It's been long moaned at on here that 20s plenty blah blah. Now it is still moan. If it was free entry someone would moan cos they don't get a free pie as well. 20 quid. Against premier league. There should not be a single moan against this at all
Actually unbelievable. Very good ticket price for premier league opposition, especially when half price for ST holders. Even if it is on TV. To suggest any cheaper is just daft. If you don't want to go, don't go. No need to hide behind the excuse of a £2 price difference. In my opinion, obviously.
I'll buy a Sky day pass for £6.99. It's something I would have criticised people for when I had a lot of money and no commitments. I'd have to be barmy to pay more than I need to to watch something.
Makes me wonder if it tends to be season ticket holders that tend not to attend these games and pay on the gate numbers don't fall too much in comparison
Surely nobody would buy or not buy a ticket over the sake of two quid? Especially for premiership opposition in a winnable tie?
Each to their own. I could stay at home and watch it, wouldn't cost me a penny at home cos I don't pay the sky bill. But I'd rather pay the tenner, the tenner ish in petrol to get there and probably another tenner on a bet, food drink etc. Okay so I get paid the day after but that's not the point. I'd rather go to the game than watch it on sky. As i say, each to their own. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I have season ticket and have purchased nine and 2 kids for £20 I think it should have been £15 for non season ticket holders. Club missed opportunity to get some stay away fans back into Oakwell. It may only take 1 game to prompt some fans to start coming back. Instead those people will probably watch it in pub or at home and moan about the prices
It wouldn't though. All the stats are there to show that. They'll just disappear again, until the next big team comes to town. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've always argued that I wouldn't feel part of it if I wasn't there. The trouble is to feel part of it nowadays I've got to spend more than I can afford. The club could do a lot more in this respect. They are making pay on the day customers not feel part of it. If I pay 20 quid for Everton, I won't be able to afford Shrewsbury. A Sky day pass means I can see both.
That's fair do. And I wasn't meaning to single anyone out for specific circumstances. I was mainly generalising that the 20 plenty argument is there. And now it's 20. It still isn't enough for some folk. I ain't a happy clapper. Far from it. I have plenty of issues with how the club is run. But this certainly smacks in the face (imo) of moaning for the sake of it. I appreciate folk have circumstances and like I say it wasn't aimed at any specific fan in there own circumstances
20 quid for a league game is ok but for the tin pot cup it,s over the top .if we beat everton and draw man utd you can bet the tickets will go up a bit more.
Moan moan moan, some people are just never happy. I'm driving from Hull, so will be home late when up for work at 6.45, spending petrol money and ticket money, but I'd much rather do this than sit at home and watch it on sky!! It's just not the same at all.
