    I boxed a few years back. Mainly down at the Junction on Doncaster Road, that was a proper spit and sawdust place, cold shower (just the one) and punch bags as hard as concrete...</p>

    To get to the otherside of the gym you had to go through the ring !!!! There was plenty of blood spilt but it was a fantastic place for a 13 year oldkid to learn how to look after himself... Most of the equipment was dropping to bits, the funniest things were the gloves, there was a pair of sparring gloves that were filled with straw !!! My favourites, you could knock the straw back so you were hitting them with more or less bare knuckle... great fun !!!</p>
