That has plenty of merchandise, customers queueing down the street, but packs up and goes home at midday on the busiest day of the week?
thw way it's been handled reminds me of how the council would run it, or the old soviet union. laughable.
Are there any other businesses that have customers as loyal as Football surporters? If Perrys treated you crap as a customer when buying a car you'd tell them to get stuffed and take your money to Harratts or Reg Vardy's etc, but what are you going to do as a Barnsley fan when the club treat you crap? tell them to get stuffed and buy a ticket to watch the blunts or the fowls? I dont think so. And the worst thing is they know it!!
The club might think they know it but they are wrong less than 10k regular fans at the moment, could well turn into less than 9k and then 8k
RE: Are there any other businesses that have customers as loyal as Football surporters? No, you're just not going to buy that product. You may feel that you need a car, so you are going to buy one from wherever you get the best service. But you don't need to go to watch football.
But football is unique.. nothing else can put you so high or dump you so low in the space of seconds. Yes you fall out with your team but the loyality thing is very hard to break. I'm not saying impossible to break, but football is all about dreams. Believing that your team will defy the incredible odds stacked against it and still win. Believing you can beat your local rivals and revel in there misery and there supporters misery. And truthfully, what are the alternatives?..... Meadowhall with the wife!!!! Being treated badly by the club and treated like cattle by the cops is still better than Meadow Hell !!!
Many have obviously given it up in the past I know of at least 10 former regulars who no longer go at all.
But 9000 more have started watching them regularly since I started watching them Swings and roundabouts, some you win and some you don't
RE: Many have obviously given it up in the past Its just a complete mess!, an unreal situation! but rater darn t'well then meadow HELL!!!!
Not been once this season. Okay, I work just almost every weekend, but I've just lost the inclination, to be honest. When I get a setdi off, I'd rather do family stuff - it's cheaper, more fun and I'm less likely to break summat. Used to hold a season ticket and was an ever present home and away in the early 80's, but there are too many better things to do these days. Mind you, I'm going Tuesday.
We need to do something pretty good to get our fans back. We need a serious play-off push and maybe fans will come. and when the fans come more money. and when more money in theroy means more players. it'll take time etc.. but it's a risk they should take to get our fans back to be honest (don't bollock me if u disagree)
