and makes her pay her own way. my mate neil is taking is wife to Preston and making her pay even for the bloody petrol money.
Me and my partner go and we both pay our own way. I can't afford her season ticket as well as my own!
What, out of the housekeeping? Can't figure out why, or even how, some married couples maintain separate finances. What's that all about? Unless you're Paul McCartney, that is, in which case it's probably a good idea. Do they go halves on the mortgage and stuff too? What happens if one of them is a bit short one month? Do they pay overdraft fees? Baffled.
I'm baffled too It would be just too complicated to keep things separate. Where do you draw the line - Weekly shop for example do people sit down and work out 3 beers for me 2 snowballs for you, you can pay for the sprouts as I dont like them etc?
RE: I'm baffled too with my missus we have 3 accounts. ours, hers, mine. We pay into ours each month the same % of our salary which means I pay twice as much as her in roughly. That pays all our joint stuff, mortgage, bills, food etc etc. everything else we can do as we want with. then she doesnt see how much i spank on a day at football etc
