Is there only me that thought we actually didn't play too badly for 70 mins yesterday?

Now, i'm not for one minute justifying Davey in anyway, as anyone who knows me will know that i've wanted the pillock out for months now... but i actually thought we played well until they scored.

But this is where the problem comes... Blackpool score. Right, Simon, make something happen. So, he takes off Colace and puts on Devaney. Brilliant. Attacking change. Trouble is... he has to move JCR into the middle, and that just killed the game. JCR is NOT and never will be a central midfield player. NEVER. He is completely ineffective there. We created nothing. Hammill had a shot which was tipped over by the Blackpool keeper, and he did all the hard work himself to get that chance.

Now, he also has Rigters on the bench. 1-0 down at home, in a game where we need to get something. Its not rocket science. Take a full back off and throw him on. He might be crap, but its another man up front. Give the defenders something to think about. Something different to Mifsud, who they'd completely marked out of the game for 80 minutes.

People come on here and say 'Davey was screaming and shouting at the players...' and similar... well, i watched him for the last 10 minutes, and he never once took his hands out of his pockets. He kicked the floor in anger once at a wayward pass. How do the players get motivated when he can't even motivate himself? It seriously looks like we go a goal behind, and he's too stubburn to realise his tactics aren't working.

    Its looking grim. Real grim.

Only my opnion, of course, but

I thought it was a pathetic, abject display yet again against a team in and around us ala Forest, Norwich, Southampton home & away, Charlton & Blackpool away.

    I didnt

I thought we played well for the 5 minutes before half time but the rest of the game we didnt do too much

We had no creativity, The defence took it in turns to make lapses - Blackpool looked the most likely to score to be honest having squandered a couple of decent chances before they did actually score. We didnt create any real clear cut chances all game - just a couple of good long range efforts

Had we managed a goal maybe things would have been different - but it never really apart for for 5 minutes looked likely

Once they scored it was game over
