Been to Barnsley Hospital this morning. (1) had to pay £2-50 to park my car for 2 hours, would have been cheaper but appointment run late (2) whilst I was waiting, a woman handcuffed to a policeman came into waiting room and went straight into see specialist, ahead of me (3) same as (2) happened again in blood test area I've been a PAYE tax payer all my working life. Has this criminal been paying Tax and contributing positively to UK society? Did she have to pay to park the prison van/car? I know we can always find summat to moan about, but this got me thinking that life, at times, can be very unfair.
No its not fair at all, not any of the points you raised. I can feel a rant coming on but it has been a long day so I'm leaving it here for now.
She might have been waiting in a cell for 6 months to see the doctor, the Prison Service requesting a specific time for the appointment so a convicted criminal spends as little time out of the prison as possible. The alternative would be for the specialist to go to the Prison to see her, which would have taken them considerably longer and therefore unable to see as many patients because they aren't in the clinic. Unless of course you believe Prisoners shouldn't get medical help which is another argument
1, Yes the car park charges are bad, but you could always have gone by bus or walked, but then your rant wopuld have been about bus fares. 2, How do you know that the Policeman was not waiting outside and their appointyment was before yours anyway ? You already stated that they were running late ! 3, Same as above The criminal may also have been paying tax and contributing , before getting arrested. Of course she does not pay for parking the van, she would have not had any cash, she was a prisoner !! Yesw you can always find things to moan about and there will be plenty on here that agree with you, but you dont know anything about that prisoner, yet you are on here casting aspersions !
Criminals should not be allowed to use the nhs. Only those who adhere to the standards should be granted the benefits
There's a council carpark 300m from the hospital. It doesn't cost much more than that for a full shift. It's never full.
I`d moan if she had to wait at the back of the queue because then we would have a copper sat on his arse doing bugger all for God knows how long. She may have just been arrested and brought up from Barnsley nick so there is a possibility she could have been wrongfully arrested. No **** it hang her. **** happens, and waiting around for owt is frustrating.
As expected, wide (good) opinion and suppose there is no right or wrong answer here.......it's just opinions.
