IPSWICH have been rocked by a bust-up between under-fire boss Paul Jewell and Jimmy Bullard.
The pair have clashed over the midfielder's refusal to move from his Surrey base, which has cost him his first-team place.

Bullard, 32, Town's highest-paid player on £18,000 a week, has also fallen out with team-mates who have questioned his commitment with Ipswich just above the Championship drop zone after seven successive defeats.

An insider said: "Jimmy has been bragging about his wages and some of the players are unimpressed by this.

"The gaffer has told him he is unlikely to play if he doesn't make the effort to move into the area."

If he plays it's good news because he's being disruptive and hasn't done anything of note in football for years. Very much overated and hasn't reached his potential of say 4 years ago due in part to injuries.

Jewell's chance to make his mark

Gives Bullard the elbow, gets the rest of the squad behind him and committed, 1-0 Ipswich....

He was brilliant earlier this season, really pulled the strings in our midfield. We've missed that influence in recent matches.

He's been really off the boil lately though and was on the bench on Saturday. I read that article yesterday and it filled me with dread. I'm hoping its all the media's usual doom-mongering twist on things. Jewell and Bullard have know each other since the Wigan days so i'm hoping its more that he's just hit poor form than anything else.

This is all we friggin need at the moment

Think myself Bullard's one of those players that has a few season in absolute top form - Wigan, early at Fulham then for whatever reason can't hit those heights.

If we've learnt anything in Keith Hill's short time in charge here it's that the team ethic and everyone pulling in the same direction is worth more than any Billy Bigboll0cks giving it large and only chipping in when they feel like it - not saying that's Bullard from the outside he looks to be akin to some we've had on our books in recent years.

If what has been reported is true then jewell needs to get shut, when things aren't going well the last thing you need is disruptive players in the camp.

    1-0 Ipswich, telling you.....
