He wants to clear the debt within the next couple of years with as little interest paid as possible, so therefore going to be a lot tighter on signings and wages. Whereas he could string what we owe out longer by bringing in class players.
Mr Shepherd is in a very delicate position financially, the spectre of ...... administration is never far away, I have complete faith in his ability to steer BFC away from that threat, while still attracting the proper playing personel to the club, the loan market, for us it seems, is the way.
end of last season... Mr Shepherd was very pleased to say that BFC was only about one more year away from trading positively. Then we had the windfall of the playoffs and now the money from the Flinders sale. I assume that we are now a viable operation which stands on its own two feet. Then I saw somewhere that we were in debt to the tune of four or five mil. I assume this debt is the amount which Patrick has had to put into the club so we didn't close the doors. Is this true? what is the position (ballpark) of the club. Maybe this debt is not earning interest and Patrick will never call it in. Maybe it is earning interest. Who knows the position of the club..... now that we seem to have turned corners on a few fronts..
RE: end of last season... i am almost certain the loans of Mr Cryne are interest free with no set date to be paid back by. that was my understanding, as for other debt i have no idea the club are very cagey about telling us
I would like to know who exactly we owe this money to. I know its delicate but if GS is honest with us and says we owe ABC XYG people might be more understanding. I thought PC gave the money as a gift to the club. Are we still paying players/managers off?
don't get me wrong, here.... We have been saved by heroes. Mr Shepherd and Mr Cryne stepped up. I was just wondering what the position was....
