I've just phoned Virgin up about the up grade i'm getting tomorrow all i wanted to know was how many and which extra channels i'd be getting and i could'nt understand a word the woman was saying i kept having to ask her to repeat (i think the call centre might be slightly east of Lowestoft ) now i' seriously thinking of telling them to stick it because whats the point of having a call centre where you cant understand a word they're saying to you ??????. So because of the nationality of the staff i'm thinking of binning it, so does this make me more of a racist than i am ???????????????????????????????? (dunno)
when i get that i just keep asking to speak to someone who speaks English as there first language until i get somewhere!
I also do that. I am in no way racist but if you can't understand them properly then there is always a chance of a misunderstanding and that is enough to end the phonecall for me. Expalin politely and say goodbye. Especially if there are any sort of financial things to be talked about. Surely if the call centre is in England then the chances are you could ring back and get another salesperson. If it isn't then I would bin it.
Use to have problems with some of the Scots when phoning Sky. Asian ones I dont entertain its just pointless and wastes my time.
There are plenty of Asian people who speak very clear English, but people with strong Indian/Pakistani accents can be very hard to understand. The problem is that English isn't the first language of these particular individuals, so what can their employers expect?
i have the same problem all the time. I hang up and complain and i wont by anything where you have to call asia to chat. its not on when there are folk out of work in this country. make the companys who do this listen by hittin em in there pockets.
everyone says the same but? IS IT BIENG RACIST ? BECAUSE THEY'RE ASIAN AND NOT BRITS ??????? (england) (dunno)
