I'm not a Catholic...or religious(I thought I'd state that first)Whilst it's not beyond the bounds of possibility, which is what internet conspiracy theorists thrive on,I'd be very surprised if it were true...however I was very surprised when the Jimmy Savile stuff came out...wish I'd never answered now!!

He helped cover up for priests who had abused children in the past so who knows if he was involved

Interesting theory, not beyond the realms of possibility either, but I'm not convinced.

We'll never know The Vatican is like the mafia when it comes to looking after your own. I still think Pope John Paul I was murdered. David Yallop wrote a good book on all the inconsistencies in that case.

There is a film due to be released highlighting the abuse of children in the Catholic Church and how the hierarchy has covered it up or simply just moved the priests onto somewhere else. The pope featured heavily in the trailer

Will definitely watch that when it comes out. The wall of silence seems to be slowly getting chipped away at recently. Some priests have admitted what they did, but I expect a lot more haven't. The scandal and cover up of the Magdalene laundry abuse has received some acknowledgement recently.

Think it maybe an art house type film rather than general release - worth a watch though. The EDL recently had a demo against Asian grooming gangs -using it as a reason for us to hate them. It is a shocking state of affairs but this is on a much bigger scale in this country and has been going on for centuries and nobody seems to be doing much about it

Sorry to say. But looking at the fragility of the Pope I would guess he will not be here to answer questions.
