    never understood the abuse davey recieved, after all he was on a small budget working miracles to even keep us in this league. he never begged the fans to love him or get on bended knees everytime he spoke and acted like a messiah.

    Hmm!

    Davey gave us some of our most memorable recent moments, even though he later lost the plot and forgot where everyone was supposed to play!

    My abiding memory though is of the day I was in a queue to renew ST's. Davey rolled up in his VW Toerag and walked past the queue without a word.

    Said it all, really!

    It is the excuse they are clinging to, whether its true or not. Yes we have had injuries, but I refuse to believe we are the only club that has had any, yet there are some on here that seem to think injuries cover the lack of application by the players.
    Maybe the defence have all had brain injuries, all at the same time?

    We nearly did it on Tueday though, just a pity we could not do it, same with Coventry too.
    These teams are in a false position and they have player earning more than ours, so we cant really complain if we lose ! Plus they have not had as many injuries as we have, Not sure how many it is now , but it must be close to 300 at least!
