Barnsley Could Have Points Deducted If The Referee Reports Them.

    Theoretically I suppose so.

    Would think highly unlikely though

    For what?

Brawl between players, two of whom got red cards. it's happened to others, even in the prem and nowt happened. What i do think has saved us is that the fans from both sides were sensible and no one invaded the pitch afterwards when it kicked off.

If the FA fine us points for that...

They'll be getting emails and phone calls every day from me until they deduct points off everyone for having a scrap.

And from Leeds for fielding ineligible players.

It was a pretty pathetic scenario though

Why the hell did our players lose their cool ? as it all kicked off after the final whistle!

I can only think that maybe, some 'handbags' were being waved throughout the game, that we, the fans, were unaware of, and that's why it came as such a shock"

    It would be unprecidented

Anyway they wont take points away from Bruce as Birmingham are a big team like Leeds and West Ham for example. even they couldnt deduct points from us and not Birmingham. Fine almost a certainty though

So Wise can act like a thug more than once on the touchline and get a suspended fine and we get docked points? You would think YTV were running football if that happened! Surely, the worst that could happen is a fine - and the threat of points deducted in the future? After all, there were two teams involved in this brawl and whilst BFC were silly to get involved, you try playing 90 minutes of pumped up, adrenalin fueled type football- and then come straight back down to a rational, logical state of mind. Aint easy - I'm wound up for hours after playing just a 5-a-side game and am old enough to know a lot better.

    I would not be confident.

It was a silly brawl, but the FA take such things seriously.

Oh, how the Referee wanted to 'square thinbgs up today'"

Hope the 4th Official will be on the ball to negate the 'silly' fouls etc

    Agree with all you say

:eek:Now we have to wait and see.

I can't understand why the brawl took place but suspect it must have been related to summat going off on the pitch for 90 mins.

Kay and Damms were both badly aggrieved and that is where it kicked off.

    Isn't the problem that...

we've been charged once or twice already this season? (Coventry & maybe another)

That would be the justification if we were docked points and not Brum.

Didn't we have a suspended fine?

We'll get a bit of a fine yes, but surely not points docked.

This has come from Leeds fans winding Adam up, you're falling for it everyone!

And Bruce getting the mardy on 'n' all!!!

I hate Birmingham - they have to rank in my top five of despised teams simply 'cos they're a team of dirty cloggers and a club that knows how to spend money but not on quality. If we had a fraction of their budget...

    Exactly.

I too despise them with my heart and soul.
How sweet it was today to beat a team that had a day out with coaches laid on because they thought it would be a 3 pointer and a nice sunshiney day out for their friends and family!
Well, they can all get stuffed.
I despise this team and all they stand for.
What was that team woRth? £10 M or whatever?
Our lads tore the heart out of them and Kyle Reid run them ragged!
So much for Gary McSheffrey boasting in the pre -easter papers that "No disprepect to teams like 'Burnley' and 'Barnsley' but these are 2 games we should win!" Lol
I hope that Davey pinned McSheffrey's comments up in the dressing room today, you would like to think Davey did because the lad didn't get a look in today. We kept him totally out of the game
I have been to watch my beloved BFC countless times at BIRMINGHAM and have have been subjected to bricks thrown at our coach, bus, cars overturned and total animal like behaviour when we beat them in the play offs
OUR WIN TODAY COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED AGAINST A 'NICER' TEAM LOL
    youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuReds :D :D :D

    My thoughts exactly...

McSheffery did nowt except play some terrible balls and blaze it wide a couple of times. He was about £3 million alone plus they paid about £4.5 for that Jerome kid from Cardiff. I like Kyel Reid anyroad but I thought he had a exceptional game today! Solid at the back and kept our cool despite the number of times we were manhandled (Stan, in particular) or simply hacked down while the ref looked the other way 'cos they're a reyt big club and allowed to do stuff like that. Thought we could've had three or four in the first half!

Best performance under Davey I've seen so far and, I may get castgiated for implying, very Ritchiesque - hard, fast, determined and imbued with a massive work ethic. The way those players play best and should be played...

Top stuff and, hopefully, the sign of things to come...
