    It's the proverbial 'clean slate for everyone' now.

    New manager will be restricted to loanees until the next window opens so he's going to have to work with this squad and get the best out of them (which is why the end of last season was the time for this to have happened IMO).

    Consequently, we can't afford to ditch anyone too quickly for the time being, although I expect there'll be a fair few changes (in and out) in January.

    It could be a good thing that the transfer window will be closed

    That way we won't get the usual change of personel seemingly for the sake of it. The new manager will have to work with what he's got and really get to know who's capable of what before he can wield any axes. On the flipside, it makes a handy cop-out excuse for managers - "It's not my fault, I'm not working with my preferred group of players." Hmm.
