Vito manone was awful on loan now he's a premiership keeper. Very few young keepers are finished articles. And if they are they cost ££millions.

Think it's better to give a young lad support and encouragement to fulfil the potential coaches see in him.

I think its better to play a better keeper. Davies has made costly mistakes in all three home friendlies and we cant afford that

I agree, give Davies a chance in the friendlies he will gain experience and learn from playing games like this. I'm sure Ross will be in the net next week.

    Out of order
He's young needs some encouragement, I think he looks a decent prospect, what about Steele? He couldn't kick for **** and he's a club legend to some.

Wish folk would use the same logic when discussing RNL, Rose, Digby etc etc...

Steele has earned his legend status. I'm not having a go at Davies, he needs patience, time and encouragement but your criticism of Steele while defending Davies doesn't help give your argument credibility.

How can it be a costly mistake in a friendly, the result means nothing.

No no no. Rose is **** and old enough while Davies, 2 years his senior, is still young and learning and should be allowed to be utter ****.

Personally I dont care if a player is 17 or 70. If theyre good enough then they play. If they arent then they dont. Its a simple system

If a mistake costs a goal then it is costly. If it wasnt then the result would be 0-0 regardless of how many times the ball went in the net

Surely the kids will only improve with experience and playing time?

End of the day, mate, I'm backing the lot of em. Other than Nyatanga, Cranie and Big Jean, they're all bairns and all trying to gel together. It'll take time. It always does. It's time though to back a manager and HIS players. We've always talked about it, now lets put it in action. Win, lose or draw, BFC forever more. I feel like I've got my club back.

Nowt wrong with having an opinion on each game, or an opinion on how they all played. But if any BFC squad have needed support and patience, it's this un. I hope I'm not alone in thinking like this. Yes, we've all had fun moaning and slating Hillcroft, their players, our board etc etc etc, but maybe if we all pull and stay together we can be looking back on this summer in five years time (from the Prem) and thinking "well done, us".

Or we could jump on the backs of Mansford, Danny, Cryne, Bazza, the players, the kids, whoever, and continue to toil away for God knows how long.

    Sup to thee.

    You Reds.

Steels made mistakes and he is no where near a legend in my eyes. He's not my sort of keeper. Davies can improve, Steele never did improve his kicking and catching all his time been here. Wilson noticed this and flicker did, he's not worth the money on wage bill, better keepers for same money ie turnbull. Well played Danny.
Am leaving it there till I get banned for saying a past player is terrible.

You can hold an opinion, negative or otherwise on here and won't be banned. But it's when you repeat and repeat and repeat it that it becomes an issue. This thread is asking how Turnbull is from what I can see, and then discussing Davies our other keeper who played today. Why bring Steele up, again? You dint like him, great. I dint like Martin Taylor but I don't mention him every day like.
