Never made the squad yesterday... Was it purely down to us having 5 loans in matchday squad? Jabo will be unable to play against his parent club tomorrow so he should come back in if fit.
We've got Cameron Stewart doing nowt, Declan John taking the place of a young Barnsley defender who has actually performed much better than John in just about every game he has played, but the bloke who scored 4 goals in 3 games not long since, 2 of those in 1-0 victories, can't make the squad to make room for these two. Struggling to understand any reasoning behind that other than Stewart and John are Johnson's signings while Smith and Waring aren't.
I assume the thinking was that Ibehre can't play against Colchester so he played him on Saturday and Waring will play tomorrow.
Suppose this is what happens when you recruit so many loanees. Fingers crossed whoever he picks tomorrow, he puts them in a decent system to get the best out of them, because LJ's set up yesterday killed us before a ball was kicked. In my opinion.
We'll revert back to 4-5-1 tomorrow with Waring or Winnall up top, Milan on right with John on the left, Smith back in at left back position.
I said the same yesterday when I saw the team sheet and he wasn't even on the bench. It was a very strange decision by LJ, I just hope he learned something from yesterday.
