Definitely! He just needs to stay injury free the rest of the season now. I’m too lazy right now to check it but our record this season with him in the side must be decent? A lot better than our record without him that’s for sure.
Probably my favourite player. Said last time he was here that he seemed to set the tempo for the whole team and it looks like he's doing it again. Much much better side when he is playing.
He might inspire Hammill to return to his play off winning form as well. It's no coincidence that we were very effective with the two of them terrorising the full backs. Much as I liked Harvey Barnes for his shooting power I never felt like he was a good winger. Isgrove most certainly IS and if we can keep him fit we will shoot up this table. Well, plus adding a dangerous centre forward who scores more often than he misses.
In a relegation battle Isgrove & Hammill are the exact type of wingers you need. Barnes was capable of moments of brilliance but his all round game was lacking & his desire was questionable. One of the goals Derby scored against us where he just let the full back run off him & get an assist was embarrassing
Certainly effected the game at Wednesday when he came on. He and Potts really got us on the front foot, and he was part of the run of 1 defeat in 8. He played really well today. Obviously he is rapid but he took some great positions, won quite a few headers for a little bloke and just generally pushes the opposition back.
We just don't lose many games when he starts matches. I've looked and in both spells he's had at the club, we've lost 7 times when he has started, the majority of those were during that losing streak under Johnson.
Hes like a white Campbell Ryce in his pomp. The whole place gets a lift when he plays. Plus the fact hes small but packs a punch and runs like lightning.
