Man Utd / Liverpool have released loads of players who have "made it"

I suspect that they arent losing any sleep over it.

    Neither should we.

I thought Parkin stepped over the line once too often

I've seen him play both but can't remember which he played most often

I would say it was about equal. Winstanley brought him into the team first, as a centre forward but then subsequent managers played him at centrehalf. I have often wondered if that was part of his problem at Barnsley, that the likes of Parkin wanted to play him in a position that he didn't really enjoy playing.

Been to City today as usual when the reds are away and Hull are at home! Jon did ok, put himself about and caused a few problems. Couldn't really miss his goal, although he looked offside, but was at the other end so I couldn't see for sure!

Another player at the time when we thought we could only play big time players on big wages, we should try keep our young players now and help them through!! Apart from Wroe maybe, unless he plays like he did in the cup at Bradford every game!!

    The difference is...

...the big clubs are bound to produce players who are not good enough for THEM, but who will be for others.
