Cheaper way of doing it. Leaves the coppers free to give the publicwhat they want...a response when they get broken into

That would be motorists who are breaking the law.

RE: That's what they are supposed to be stopping...

yeh right, my business partner's house was broken into in the middle of the night, he called the police who eventually turned up (approx 2 hours) he'd kept the 'crime scene' safe, the screw driver that had been used to force the window etc. The Police seemed disinterested when he asked whether they were going to dust for prints etc.. and said 'not much point... we're not likely to be able to catch them anyway... do you want a crime number ?'</p>

'No.... I'd like you to catch them' he responded. What a ridiculous idea eh ??</p>

His house is on Halifax road and there's often the boys in blue 'happy snapping' at £60 a chuck.</p>

    He's not impressed.</p>

    easy target cash cows.</p>

Have appropriate speed limits ie 20mph near schools 50mph on single carriageway country roads, but 85mph on motorways and I'll agree.</p>

Oh and btw I've never been done for speeding.</p>

It is being tried at the request of the Public

Current city centre crime is down but surveys replies asked for the "day time" council security to be extended into night shifts. Dont think Sheffield council really are enthusiastic but they asked the public what they wanted and this was the result .........

RE: is that the Country roads without pavements that have

Sure is, currently at national speed limit ie 60mph. Could take it down to 40mph. I do a fair bit of hiking and never really feel comfortable when there is a road section.
