Apart from the problem of fasting during Ramadan Muslim sportsmen face other challenges:- Communal baths/showers - no muslim male should uncover his private parts in front of another man. Muslims should not wear a team shirt which shows a gambling logo. Muslims should not partake in celebrations which involve alcohol.
I think they make the Koran up as they go along, I don't think its says owt abart blowing people up that you don't like either
Not an expert but "Communal baths/showers - no muslim male should uncover his private parts in front of another man." eh never heard that one before and find it extremely implausible Muslims should not wear a team shirt which shows a gambling logo. Any idea where it says that - True Muslims dont gamble but I dont think advertising on shirts was common around the time of the Prophet Muslims should not partake in celebrations which involve alcohol. really ! I used to play football in a 5 a side team which had a couple of Muslim lads in it. One was a bit lax but the other fairly devout - didnt eat during ramadan etc Dont remember him avoiding the showers after the game He came to the pub with us - just didnt drink alcohol we didnt adverise gambling on our shirts though
not really into religion, but met a few muslims, they can drink like fishes in turkey! 1 pakistani i worked with was ace, he had to kneel down just to drink water, and never touched booze, and boy did they eat well when they could during ramadam! dare say they all have different rules? remember jon edwards refusing to compete on a sunday due to his christian religion?
yes I agree, there are devout Christians and devout Muslims. On the other hand there are Muslims and Christians who don't follow the tenets of their faith.
