I think a loan striker might be the best option.

RE: Any news

Are we signing someone to get the ball into the box as well?

Possibly a 2 for 1 offer.

True

But he was playing with pain killing injections because he was carrying an injury from pre-season.
I reckon a fit Ferenczi remains our best goalscoring option.

We have creativity

on the wings, just need summat to aim at in the box. someone who can demand the ball and make the defenders drop a bit deeper.

RE: We have creativity

Come on , even your patience must be getting tested by our wide players inability to get the ball passed the first man.

I would rather they knocked it in early than get up to the full back and kick it at him.

There didn't look to be much creativityto me Leicester last saturday.
I am desperate for the team to do well, but it all seemed pretty pointless, the tactics seem to be wrong for the striers we have. Odejayi always has his back to the goal. he rarely turns or makes a run
Why?

Can't fault his work rate but he simply can't get the ball past the first defender. The best thing you can say about him is that he wins a lot of corners.

Aye he works his butt off but the problerm is getting the ball across. Devaney can get the ball across but rarely did on Saturday. On that performance at Leicester he won't keep his place in the team at all. He even set off, stopped, looked round and then passed back with all the Reds fans screaming at him to go forrard.
I thought the tactics and players' game were both clueless on Saturday. Leicester were poor as a team, lacking in confidence and had we scored an early goal they would have collapsed.
No one seems up for scoring, either that or they are crap at it.

It does every day and has done so since I suffered from anxiety depression which was the worst thing I have ever gone through in my life.
All I am doing is stating what i saw on saturday.
I'm being positive inn that I still go and follow them when others have given up.

I would start Christensen, i don't think he as started a game yet, along with Odeyayi, and if nothing is produced by the front two, then i would push Howard and Mossto up front, and put Johnson and McCann in mid-field. Two little guys have worked for Man U, and i think they would produce the passing game that Mossto and Howard are good at. (chinny)

McCann and Johnson locking down the midfield???

On all known evidence that combo would lead to disaster.

At least give it a try, if the big lads fail. I know Johnson and McCann arn't everyones cuppa, but stranger things have happened in football, and if we are at home, go for it . That's my humble oppinion. :)

yes but...

this could lead to a number of scenarios whereby:

the ball is still knocked long to the front, only it is now further out of reach to the two chimney sweeps in attack;
the cohesion and creativity are gone from midfield, Howard and Mostto have to drop deeper and deeper to get the ball so we have a six man midfield;
we have no target men in attack so the need for wingers is gone therefore the midfield becomes more congested; or

(and this one would be my choice) it works
