-lack of communication is startling. -Conway/new CEO haven’t said a word? -rumours that there’s structural damage and the Coventry game nearly didn’t go ahead. -scoreboard not working -queues developing, turnstiles not being open - cards not working. -lied to about these Belgians. Have I missed anything? We’re only 3 games in…
Scoreboard was working ok Tuesday night as far as I could see, No problem entering ground Tuesday night, scanned my phone ok Didn’t the rumours come from a Coventry fans forum? If so, should a club answer these from an opponents fan’s forum? What lies did the club give about the 2 Belgium lads?
Exactly We've drawn, won and lost in tight games. We've not been smashed whilst not having a full squad at our disposal and trying different tactics. Fair enough on the grounds aspect but they'll be sorted. What does the ownership have to say to us at this moment in time that's not been said already?
Scoreboard did the bare minimum Tuesday, they didn't dare use it for anything else like it's always been used for. Tickets that didn't work Saturday didn't work Tuesday.cthe reason yours did is that it's a renewal not a new ticket. Huge queues again Tuesday as operators were insisting on typing in the barcodes to get people in. Something caused the decision not to sell tickets, an extremely late change in access arrangements etc. It would be wise of the club to explain that. It is common sense that if there was no structural issue then stating that would reassure anyone sitting in said stand. We are hearing from external sources that the Belgians aren't legal to work in the UK yet so telling us they aren't playing because of fitness is a little misleading is it not? A simple explanation would stop fans from slagging off the players commitment and attitude The ownership could tell us if Dane Murphy is our CEO or not. That would be a good start. We all know he isn't because forest told us he isn't. Barnsley haven't bothered to
I just saw minutes played and score which is what I usually see I didn’t see any huge queues about 15- 20 mins prior to KO when I went in East Stand Lower, and everyone seemed to be entering ground ok, perhaps it’s certain turnstiles, I don’t know, but there were no apparent problems as far as I could see.
I haven't seen any shooting in Afghanistan but I've heard it's not nice there. I don't deny it happens because I haven't witnessed it.
No pepper in the Ponty End condiment station. I was not boozing and JuddyG was on call at work. We were livid.
You might have been. But Lard arse. Will be counting the cash. ( Not for much longer May I add. (In joke) )
They didn't open the ESL turnstiles till 7.10 on Tuesday, after telling us to get there early to avoid any issues. Numbnuts here arrived around 6.45, thinking that I'd have a few pints in the ground after arriving in good time. Silly me. Obviously they ran out of hot food by half time too. This food contract must be 20 years long, cos we've been told that the catering would improve after the end of this contract.
On tickets, there was no queue for me Tuesday (WSL) and the nice turnstile lady courteously told me that she had to try scan my card as they weren't allowed to wave people straight through. The card scan didn't work, and again courteously she explained she would have to either: * Key the code in manually * Scan my phone app Fortunately, I had my phone ready and got through quick enough. I wouldn't have fancied keying miniscule codes in all night with my mince pies!
Just go round the back and use the east stand upper entrances did it both games waited no more than 3 mins to get in.
I arrived 15 minutes before kick off, took me 9.5 minutes to get in the ground - yes I timed it. Its only ever taken me that long before when its been a sell out/local derby with 16/17k in the ground, not a 12k Tuesday night against Luton, so something's not right. This was to get in East Stand Upper.
It's a touchy subject, comms from 'leadership'. I don't want to hear from them daily, and certain things need to be kept in house. But on the flipside, I don't like total radio silence. Silence that leads to rumours, and rumours that lead to instability. And I don't like rumours that lead to folk on here falling out. Cos I'm a bit soft. What works? I think Andy Holt at Accy Stanley is superb. Very vocal on Twitter, tells people what they want to know, and if he can't, tells them why. Has opinions on his club and the wider game, and rarely gets into any confrontational nonsense. But maybe a little too prolific, and sometimes some of the good stuff he posts is lost amongst the lesser stuff. He certainly likes to tell you how he runs his club, and why. Darragh Mc at Posh can go the other way (if he still posts). Obviously switched on, and knows how to make a buck, but sometimes gets caught up in mudslinging and (beyond) banter with opposing fans. I wouldn't want our leadership to go down that route. And the new CEO down the road from me seems to have got it right. Friendly and communicative early in his reign - he admits he doesn't get things right, but is quick to praise others in his organisation and let fans know what is what. They've taken to him and it creates a bond. Hours after their opening home match:
that ******* Woodrow I knew it was his fault. I’d give him a penalty notice but we all know they don’t count.
32 inch. Bought from Argos while we were getting a job lot of Elizabeth Duke to give to players wives/ husbands
