anything else is a panic appointment with no credibility and no confidence or respect from the players or fans.

After todays performance and result, he has earnt it.

while the players are showing this support for the manager, it would be silly to start again with a new man

Agree, any other appointment now would be grasping at straws, considering the other two that turned us down,we should be grateful Flicker is still interested.

I think from where we are now I agree with you - we tried and failed to get experienced managers in so if we are going to try and do something different Flitcroft has shown in 3 games he is his own man and can operate without Hill so its definitely a less risky strategy to go with him than to bring in an untried legend who doesnt know the players.
I would have said different before today but the way the team played today - as a team! makes it an easy choice for the board if they were indeed waiting to see what happened today before making any final decision

I just couldnt tell from Dons Interview whether they were planning to decide after todays game - or already had a plan but didnt want to destablise the preparations by announcing it today

As it seems from Flickers post match inteview he has no idea what is happening I fear the latter.

It would be typical - appoint Davey after a dire thrashing at home by the fowls - against the fans wished
Sack Flicker after a great thashing of Dirty Leeds - against the wishes of the fans

    Tomorrow will be interesting

Only our 'board' would think it a good idea to announce shortly before today's game that there'd be an announcement in the coming days, which confirms that they've made their (latest) decision regarding the right man for the job. This strategy therefore ensured that if we played well and won against our mighty local rivals, off the back of the positive FA Cup win over Burnley, a decision to go with someone other than the current incumbents would appear the height of idiocy. I hope it's Flitcroft to the end of the season now, or else Don and Co are going to - once again - look a right set of goons.

'we should be grateful Flicker is still interested.'.....he should be grateful he's still in employment after the last 12 months. Great performance today, thats 1 out of 3, if he gets the job and the team plays like it did today that will be great but some are saying he deserves the job, he doesn't . Theres still big question marks over Flitcroft , the continued vendetta against Hassell being one ,the capability of the side under him to string a number of good performances together, is another . My view is I'd like to see a totally new face in the job. I can understand people getting excited after a win like todays but now is not the time to pick a manager as an emotional response to one match, an analytical approach needs to be applied and in my view Flickers record with Hill ( an equal partnership according to Hill) precludes him from the job.

There's no need to be condescending. Some people might be feeling highly charged from an emotional perspective but that doesn't necessarily mean that their thoughts on flicker are illogical and charged with emotion. You make the assumption that his management style is exactly the same as Keith's. on what basis is his assumption made?
His record with Keith precludes him from the job? How would that be then? On the assumption that Keith was ****, that makes flicker **** too? Sometimes giving a number two sufficient latitude can release him from the shackles of the preceding approach.
Anyways me posting this to you might help me vent my spleen but it won't change your views as I'm thinking that you're not one for seeing the other persons point of view. Oh and that's just opinion (which I'm told I'm entitled to have on here ) based on previous postings.....
Ps on what basis do you believe that flicker has a vendetta against bobby? Would that be factually based or do you have some hard evidence?

Ok based on your postings over the last few days what opinion should I have of you , tell me so I know what it is. The vendetta against Bobby is based on Flitcrofts quotes and the obvious one, he hasn't played him
