Not that I care all the much to be fair but it seems the FA have told the premier league null and void is not an option neither is no relegation. This effectively backs the teams at the bottom of the league into a corner and forcing them to vote to play on at neutral venues when it appeared they may have not. this may have a knock on for us of course in due course
Every league will end up the same using the points per game ratio system that france have used it the arent able to play I think.
I’m not interested in watching premier league, title is over and don’t care who gets relegated,it’s all to do with sky and the big money
But if league 1 and 2 are regarded as null and void, how can any teams be promoted from these leagues? Looks like we will be relegated no matter what happens. But to be fair who seriously thinks if we had to play behind closed doors we would have clawed back that six point deficit? Not mean for one. We have had a poor season and are six points adrift for a number of reasons. Sell best players in summer, recruit young inexperienced players, DS leaving, Diaby ban, lack of recruitment in january etc . So we have deserved what we got.
Just asking the question....what is this points per game system?....it seems to me that it is just the same as your league position is now.
I believe it’s weighted with regards to how well you faired previously against the teams left to play. I could be mixing it up with a different system though.
Programme with Keys and Gray on last night. They claim that quite a few Premiership players are refusing to play if the league restarts. Two Villa players have met with some sympathy. Ones wife is not well and the others partner is infant anticipating. They also said that next week, they had it on good authority, that the cancellation of the Leagues One and Two will be announced. No mention of what could happen in our division. Be interesting to see if what they said actually happens.
They said about 1 and 2 on Sunday Supplement and said Championship was still in the air. If what Pompey Red says is true, it brings you back to how can they treat individual leagues different, surely it should be the same (with perhaps some scaleability). Not a legal expert but i would have thought the FA approach would open up a massive legal minefield as preference would have been demonstrated
We was virtually relegated a few years back on last day v Huddersfield with a few minutes to go , so 9 games to go anything could happen
