good old Sam-keep it up http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/0600soccer/0900cardiffcity/tm_headline=supporters-concern-over-future-of-club%26method=full%26objectid=18289138%26siteid=50082-name_page.html
remind me again why we want another team to go under Is it because they took a gamble and signed chopra and mcphail and we saw it as a personal attack rather than just business? Or is it because we've got short memories and can't remember what it was like when we almost went out of business?</p>
They are welsh I have nothing against the Welsh, but this is the English Football League, I wouldn't want Scottish or Mongolian teams in it either. They have P Riddy at the helm. They have thrown money at the team and hoped it would work. They 'stole' the players we wanted. Sam Hamman.
Or it could be that we may finish 3rd from bottom and avoid what would otherwise be relegation ... However that would only be the case if they were liquidated completely. If they go into admin they'll lose 10 points, re-structure and stay in the division ... so there's no point getting excited about it, it wont happen
From our Official site CARDIFF FACE 'LIQUIDATION' THREAT DISASTER is looming for Cardiff City should shareholders fail to agree to an emergency loan, according to Sky Sports. Today's report reads: Cardiff face the prospect of 'going into receivership' unless shareholders agree to a financial restructuring. The club's shareholders will be asked to approve a proposal to unlock £6million at an extraordinary general meeting at Ninian Park on January 9. Paul Guy, director of PMG - the site developers of the club's proposed new 30,000-seater stadium - is worried that major shareholder Sam Hammam could block the move and fears that could lead to liquidation. "If Sam does not vote for this proposal, it would mean the club going into receivership and then liquidation - I can't put it any simpler than that," Guy told the South Wales Echo. "We need the £6million to survive. If Sam backs the proposal then the stadium goes ahead and the club has a bright future." Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale also stressed the importance of voting through the proposal. "The company's shareholders will be asked to ratify the new investment proposed under the club's recently announced restructuring scheme," he told the club's official website. "The funds to enable the share subscription to proceed are in place. If such restructuring is agreed, then the club can trade into the future and the new stadium project can go ahead as planned. "The (Cardiff) council has already made the successful completion of this restructuring exercise a pre-condition to the new stadium being given the final go ahead. "PMG Estates, who've already made a £3million short-term loan facility available to the club, are due to make a further £9million loan available as a part of the new stadium funding process. "They've indicated that these monies will not be forthcoming if the planned financial and management restructuring are not voted through at the EGM." At least 76% of the existing shareholders need to agree to the proposal for it to be accepted.
All of them... It seemed like all we had to do was express an interest in a player and Uncle Peter got Sams cheque book out.
What gets me is... </p> What would Ridsdale's backup plan be if all this funding is achieved but then they don't get promoted?</p> We've know for a long time that he's speculating their future on promotion, but all this talk is about Hamman and getting the stadium money in place. If they succeed in getting the funding, but then service that debt on Championship money, they are completely screwed.</p> It all very finely balanced.</p>
Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale also stressed the importance of voting through the proposal. 'Cos if you don't I'm in the **** again! :'(
Nail on head mate, the shallow ones on here took it as a slight against us when Cardiff signed McFrail and Chopra, despite us never actually making a bid for Chops. Its so sad and shallow , but thats how many on here are.So now any mis fortune that befalls Cardiff they drink in with relish, sad innit. And yes I remember the anguish and heartache of our black spell in admin , I would not wish it on any team's fans at all,... not even Wednesday or ManUre ( an I despise MU with a passion)
but surely all the shareholders, or the relevent majority will just vote in favour of the proposal don't see why there is such dramatisation of this story however, the key issue is that what happens if they secure the investment but don't go up in say, 2 seasons. now that could be curtains. or am i missing something here?!
RE: but surely all the shareholders, or the relevent majority will just vote in favour of the propos Seems to me that they're trying to pressurise Sam the Man into walking away without keeping to the terms they agreed with him - probably because they can't afford it. And if he stands his ground and refuses to play ball, he's cast as the bad guy. </p> Only speculating mind.</p>
