Apparently Celtic had already decided yesterday to have a minute's applause for Georgie... ..before their game with Dunfermline this afternoon. They felt it was a better way of paying tribute to somebody who bought pleasure to so many football fans who had the privilege of watching him play. I guess Wolves must have followed that approach - and on reflection, whilst a minute's silence is an understandable ruling from the FA/FL, the minute's applause is probably a more appropriate recognition of Bestie's contribution to football and one which he would doubtless have appreciated.
Minute Apalause Is Better..... because that way you have a choice if you want to join in or not. where a minute silence you feel inclined to join in.
