We tried to get Kev Phillips but failed.

Simon Davey surely knew that Odejayi and Mostto were not good enough......or did he (dunno)
Coulson has not really had a run in the team so the jury is still out there
And Rigters was brought in on a long shot hoping that he could make the grade.
So really we started the season with only Hume and Macken as our strike force.
What happens if one or both of these strikers got injured or suspended ???

So to kick off the season with only two proven strikers at Championship level seems to me to be bizarre.
Especially when you take into account Pat Crynes comments in the summer about sorting the strike force out.
    So.......
Was it bad luck that we didn't sign other strikers of the quality of Kev Phillips
    OR
Did Simon Davey actually think that the strikers we had already got were good enough for the Championship

If its the later then its very worrying

A consequence of the inability of the club to strengthen the squad in attack during the summer saw our only player that could score on a regular basis actually leave the club

Now we find ourselves in a panic situation having to bring FOUR players into the squad, all of which are able to create goals or are out and out strikers.
This is going to cause a massive upheavel in the team at a time of year when we should have a settled team.
Thank goodness for the snow and the postponed games, at least this will give Simon Davey time to try and sort things out, which I think should have been sorted out in the summer.

    All Ritchie's fault.

I said at the start of the season that........this is the start of a season where.......

...........the Ritchie era would not be felt
In other words, we cannot blame Ritchie for anything that happens this season
Simon Davey and Pat Cryne have had time to assess what players they have got and what is needed
OK, we still had left overs from the massive buying spree to build a squad after Ritchie left.
For example, Mostto and Odejayi, but the club has had time now to identify the problem areas
And we are still stuck in a hole when it comes to strikers - so something has gone wrong somewhere

The fact he's just held on to Odejayi tells me he's not fit........

to be our manager, the world and his dog can see the lads about as much of a footballer as I am a rocket scientist, he'd better hope Mifsud hits the ground running.

As long as Misfud dunt hit the track round the pitch running he'll be reight. Dunt want him skidding off, cos it's frozen up.

Hands tied by the chairman ???

I dont think this is the case.
Pat Cryne went on recod in the summer saying the striker situation needed sorting out
    But it hasn't

We are now left hoping that Simon Davey can pull something out of the hat to get us away from relegation - AGAIN !!!
We should not be in this position this season

So something has gone seriously wrong somewhere, and the focus is on the inability of the club to sort out the strikers
