Strange.........when every one is shouting for a couple of fullbacks

 

Why don't we try and get the wingers we have fit?

 

I'm not. I think full backs are fairly low on our list of priorities to be honest.

If he's a big lad who can hold it up I might be interested .

 

He's probably a replacement for the underwhelming "Sheriff" Keith Treacy.

 

He's a forward. Plays wide or up top. At over six foot, he might be able to hold the ball up?

Lets at least give him 5 minutes off the bench before you all crucify him eh?

 

According to the BBC he's a midfielder.

My impressions of a winger is a sort of slim Umpa Lumpa............i.e. someone that's a bit bigger than Whitey

 

I'll trust the photos I've seen of him, the website of the club he last played for and supporters who've watched him regular. He's over 6ft, he's a winger who's been recently moved up front. And he's magic.

Sick of seeing teams come to us and rip us apart down the flanks. If we can keep opposition defenders busy coping with some speed on the wings that opens up a bit more space for: a. Cole to steam through and hit the net; b. Hourihane to get his shots off more often, and hit the net; c. Super Sammy to get more space in the box and do what we know he can do, more often - hit the net!

This new lad may be two years away from being even a L1 player. On the other hand, he might look good from the start (a bigger version of Martin Bullock for example?)
