whats more disgraceful, the players bad run of form, or the fact that 8500 people who say they are fans cant make any encouraging ,motivating noise all the game, the only time the ground had any noise in it, was for the deserved applause for the poor little lad that died, or later on when people started shouting abuse, well done on the applause but we are a disgrace when it comes to getting behind the team,no wonder players are hiding in the game
I didn't stand behind the camera cheering on Anthony Hopkins when he filmed silence of the lambs but he still gave it his all and put in a ******* good performance.
Sorry that's ****** It is up to the team to get the crowd behind them. The alleged 8500 (I reckon a good 750-1000 st holders must have stayed at home) have been watching uninspired crap for months. It wouldn't take that much to get it going, a bit of pace, or a strong tackle, maybe a player on the field showing passion (even if little ability). There's none of it. Don't dare suggest that we are the disgrace, we've paid to be there. The disgrace is on the field when players go missing and dont at least put a shift in.
Aye blame the fans. The people who work all week to pay money to watch that ***** only to be held responsible by people like you for players earning £100k plus a year in return for playing 2/3 times a week. The away following this season has been remarkable so please apply your logic to our woeful away performances too.
well I have supported Barnsley for 40 years and have never known it so bad ,excuse me if I have used the word disgrace as it may be a tad harsh, but I am sick of sitting in a ground with less atmosphere than a Sunday Park game,it annoys me more than the results ,its never gonna change, think its time I called it a day
Bit ironic. You're considering chucking it in because the fans are bored to silence, whilst you criticise the fans for chucking it in because the team are *****. Everyone is feeling this but the fans are not the problem.
The fans are quite for two reasons... One they don't want to tear into the young players, and 2 there board 5hitless
I don't go to a comedy gig and laugh at a bad joke just to encourage the comedian to try harder with the next one. Appreciation and support has to be earned when you're in what is essentially an entertainment industry, which at the bottom line, football is!.
With all due respect mate, this is nonsense. The fans are not to blame and there is nothing else to add.
no one likes the truth, we don't make enough noise, I apologise because I was peed off we had lost again and on reflection my words were too harsh, but we really do need to make more noise even if the games not going our way
I think you know the answer to that mate. Considering what the players have dished up this season, on wages most people who pay their hard-earned every week could only dream of, do you not think the onus is on them to try and get the crowd back onside?
Agreed, he's picked the wrong target there, but I'm genuinely curious as to whether a vociferous home support might lift the players' efforts. Cart before horse, if you like. Interesting experiment, but one that's never likely to be seen with the current malaise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I would think that the team would continue to play **** cos they would think that they were doing well.
