a spectacular display of management. next season is going to be interesting, any idea which league we will be in.I have a dam good idea.
Davey didn't send Cureton back, they invoked a recall clause in his contract, which is fairly standard in loan agreements. how exactly is that Davey's fault?!
he is the manager, he is responsible for our position, he is failing badly he is not up to this level
Absolutely Davey should have known in advance that Roeder was going to get the sack and the new manager would recall Cureton. Shabby management that. Davey has plenty to answer for, but not on this one. Most of us on here were really pleased when we got Cureton in.
your shifting the goalposts! you said the return of cureton was a spectacular display of mismanagement.
RE: Absolutely About time some folk realised that Davey is a coach who should be in a position that Ryan Kidd is in, he aint a manager as is being shown now
the loan system rules should work both ways imho They can't play against the team they came from so why are they allowed to play against a team they have played for on loan!! It is wrong.
Maybe so, maybe not I'm only making the point that he can't be blamed for a loan signing being recalled by his own club
He is a goal scorer as proved today. 2 in 8 for us, better return than anyone else at the club over the same period?
What? Cureton is their player. They call the shots and if we don't like it we don't have to take him.
RE: What? I must admit it doesn't seem right that a player can be recalled at the last minute, to play against the team he's been on loan with. A blatant abuse of the recall rule.
No, I don't think so. Cureton was out on loan because he'd fallen out with Roeder. Would almost certainly have been recalled just after Roeder got sacked anyway; just coincidence that we happened to be playing them the weekend after.
I don't agree with you It doesn't matter what the circumstances are. There could still be a conflict of interest, if the player actually wanted to move to the club he had been on loan with. Cureton doesn't in this case, but the League don't know that. No difference with the conflict of interest they are preventing by forbidding him to play AGAINST his parent club.
RE: What? so what... what if he was to be signing for us for example. he could have thrown the game for us. Bit of a big 'could' like but all the same there is a conflict of interests and they shouldnt be allowed to play against us. If what you say is true why do they bother having that rule for the fa cup?
